June 2, 2009 Board Meeting Agenda Item #38 Title APPROVAL OF THE RIVERVIEW HIGH SCHOOL SPEECH AND DEBATE TEAM FIELD TRIP TO BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA, ON JUNE 13, 2009 THROUGH JUNE 22, 2009 Description These students have competed in previous tournaments and have qualified for the national competition.  Students will be utilizing the skills that they have learned in class and at Speech and Debate Team practices to compete.  The knowledge that they will gain will help them to present information in any classroom setting.  Recommendation That the Riverview High School Speech and Debate team field trip to Birmingham, Alabama, on June 13, 2009 through June 22, 2009, be approved.
